About Linnea

Linnea Quigley is one of the world’s most famous Scream Queens of all time, named as such by her fans and numerous publications across the globe (including Playboy Magazine in 2017, who named her “the sexiest scream queen of all time.”). She has won numerous awards over the years for her work in film, most recently the Trailblazer Award at 2018’s Idaho Horror Film Festival. Linnea is a fan favorite at horror conventions and special appearances at film screenings and horror events around the world.

Barbara Linnea Quigley was born in Davenport, Iowa to Heath and Dorothy Quigley. Her mother was a homemaker and her father a noted psychologist and chiropractor. Always a shy child, her mother encouraged her to take up gymnastics. After moving with her family to Los Angeles in the late 1970s, Linnea began working at a Jack Lalanne Spa. The beautiful ingĂ©nue was encouraged to try modeling and acting. She soon received small parts in commercials and B-movies, such as Wheeler (1975) and Stone Cold Dead (1979). Her breakout role as Trash in Return of the Living Dead (1985) went on to become a cult classic and firmly established her as “Queen of the B’s”. Her reign is supreme with such films as Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988), Night of the Demons (1988), Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers (1988) and Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings (1993). Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout (1990) is something dreamed up while working on a film. It became an overnight hit and still has a huge fan base. Today, fans dress as her film characters for Halloween, horror conventions, birthday parties etc.

Linnea has written two books about her life in the B-movie industry, The Linnea Quigley Bio & Chainsaw Book and I’m Screaming As Fast As I Can: My Life in B-Movies and is about to embark on her third book. Mysticism of all kinds has always enthralled her. Linnea has conducted sĂ©ances, reads tarot cards, and loves everything to do with white magic.

Linnea also is a musician. She sang and played guitar in the band The Skirts for a number of years. They recorded a few popular albums before eventually disbanding, as Linnea wanted to focus full time on her acting career, in addition to her numerous charitable causes. Music is still important in her life and she continues to write songs.

Linnea is a devoted animal rights advocate and also leads a strict vegan lifestyle. She has a dozen rescue dogs and is currently working towards building an animal sanctuary to help more animals.

After starring in more than 200 films, Linnea Quigley is and will always be our favorite “Scream Queen”.
